About AWARD
The Afghan Women Association for Rehabilitation and Development (AWARD) is a nonprofit organization founded in Afghanistan in 1995 and federally registered in Canada in 2025. AWARD works to strengthen communities by supporting women, youth, newcomers, seniors, families, and vulnerable populations. Our programs focus on education, settlement support, employment and skills development, food security, protection, community well-being, humanitarian assistance, and sustainable livelihoods. Through our work in Canada and Afghanistan, we help individuals and families gain the knowledge, resources, and opportunities they need to achieve self-reliance and build a better future.
